MUD nominated for LABC Building Excellence awards 2017
With all barn conversions at The Old Dairy sold and occupied, and work well underway restoring the site’s iconic Farmhouse, 2016 was a year of highlights for us. And, for the third year running, those highlights have been recognised by the Northwest Local Building Authority Control, putting us in consideration for an LABC Building Excellence award yet again.
We have reached the finals of these awards every year since we founded MUD, and our 2017 nomination is further proof that the same principles that guide us – luxury, sustainability, and unmistakable Cheshire character – resonate with judging panels as much as they do with discerning families.
We are delighted with the progress we have made in bringing those principles to life this year. The Old Dairy’s summer launch event drew visitors who marvelled at the blend of modern finish and timeless craftsmanship we were able to marry in those properties, and it’s little wonder that the development was sold out in September 2016. But even we are surprised by how quickly The Old Dairy’s sister site, Sudlow Fruit Farm, is selling; only two of seven units remain unreserved.
We are quietly confident that our work this year will see us reach the 2017 Building Excellence Awards finals and, we hope, earn us a nomination again in 2018. But we won’t be resting on our laurels: this year will see us grow our team, working on Sudlow Fruit Farm, The Cowshed, and a soon-to-be-announced site in another local village simultaneously.
And as always, we will be working tirelessly to realise our vision of chic Cheshire homes without compromise.
